How Does a Double Bearing Espresso Distributor Work?
The IKAPE Double Bearing Espresso Distributor works by using a precision dual-bearing rotation system to move coffee grounds evenly across the espresso basket.
The process is simple:
Step 1: Dose Coffee Grounds
Freshly ground coffee is placed into the portafilter.
At this stage, coffee grounds may not be evenly distributed because of:
Grinder output/Static electricity/Clumping /Dosing technique
Step 2: Place the Distributor
Place the IKAPE Double Bearing Distributor on top of the coffee bed.
Adjust the depth according to your basket and preferred workflow.
Step 3: Rotate the Distributor
The dual-bearing mechanism allows smooth rotation while the distribution base guides coffee grounds across the basket.
This helps create:
- A flatter coffee surface

Step 4: Tamp and Extract
